I had to do a big time demo of the SGI box this evening. for the TechBC major event, even BCTV were there, and I got myself filming, so if you see a guy on the news, wearing some freaking look black glasses, some pimples and a big birthmark on his chin. That would be me.

The demoing went quite well, apart from the system crashing 3 times. Why the hell does the graphics pipe on a friggin million dollar supercomputer crash?? I dunno. But either way it is not supposed to. I think I was trying to do too much with it in terms of graphics. 3d caffine molecules and animated VRML dancers at the time was really taxing the power of it.

I lost count of how many times I did my little speech after about the 50th time I did it. I also got a major headache from looking at the stereo image without the shutter glasses, as the double image really hits you as nasty.

Afterwards was decent, there was pizza brought in for those of us students who were working on all the demos and showing the guests around. After that, the TechBC president invited all the staff and students back to his house for a minor get together.

He has a really killer swanky house out on Panorama Ridge. The place is massive, huge kitchen, two big screen TVs with DVD players, wicked sound system, a very fancy pool table, and a very well equipped gym area. There was more to eat (cake, savouries), and drink (pop, wine, beer). I ended up getting there a bit late, and the guy I got a ride with and somebody else ended up playing pool versus the president and a friend of his. The president won 15 rounds in a row, and he was barely trying. He also then proceeed to bench-press 200lbs! He certainly doesn't look like he could do it, and he is over 50!

I'm going to bed now, as it's 2AM, and I have a math quiz in 8 hours.

Ooh cool! You're so smart. :D
Wasn't there for the news though, I'm sure someone in your family taped it if you were on?

I think it might be on tonight, or maybe tommorow.

Argh. I'm not home on either of those nights. I'm going to be out every night of this week, wow, I'm such partier. Well, not really. And I still can't decide what to do on Friday...I think I'll go to Anime instead of sushi 'cause I need to keep my money. I'm cheap, but I like buying odd prints.

I have a Math Quiz in 2 hours.

Hmm, I'm going out for sushi tonight.
Taisho Sushi @ metrotown, meeting around 8pm near the leather armchairs that are near the climbing wall on the same level as playdium.

I've just had a math quiz on stupid trig stuff, and I'm doing some art homework now at school with a 3d program they have here.

And I have plans for tommorrow already with Marissa.

I don't do much for the majority of the week, and then I do everything at once.

I seem to have plans every day. You know what? I know all these people, and there's too many, and they're all in different groups, and they know different people, and if i had one big party, it would probably take up a giant gym, and the thing is, for each of those people, I don't know as much as I'd like to about them. I'm not very close to any of them. What would I rather have? Lots of aquaintances with different interests and views, or just a few people I know intimately? Bah.
