The Liberals are some of the worst politicians I have ever encountered. Read this article from BCTV news: http://www.canada.com/vancouver/story.asp?id={5226BA11-229F-48F7-8EAB-207A47DE3A40}.
And they decide to announce things in the middle of our exam week. Just the way to kill our marks, because we are too stressed with the workload already.
BCTV now retracted their story, after the TechBC admin called the Liberals themselves and got the answer that this was not to be the case, but this bit of early news, even if it is ficticious, bodes ill for us.
We will have to see what gets announced tommorow.
I just had lunch, heated sweetcorn on bread, with black pepper. This is a neat song. I'm not usually a fan of this kind of music, but this is very harmonic.
I need to start work on my art project next, since I have to present that at 10am tommorow morning. I need to get sleep tonight as well, as I also have a math exam tommorow.
Marissa's vision is tripping out again, and I'm concerned over that.
I worked till around 6am this morning. Got woken up at 3pm by my mother. I managed to sleep through my alarm which was for 1pm.
So I rushed downstairs. merged Jack's work into the HTTC timeline. Paniced as Alan had not sent in anything. Edited together the team essay, which was supposed to be 800-1000 words, but because of alan, we only had 640. I wrote some more, and got it up to 720. Send in the work (which was due at 4pm) and wrote the peer evalution. flunked alan.
Man, I'm really jamming work in here. I need to get soo much done! ∞ homework strikes again. It's now after 5am, I still need to do one more scene for HTTC, then write 200 words for an essay before I can go to bed.
I could really use some sleep now, but it is the only way I can make more time. Cut out on sleep.
While I have found myself to be really busy with schoolwork now during this TechWeek, there has also been something that I hadn't noticed I was doing inadvertantly. It seems while working, listening to rock, alternative rock and harder music is beneficial. And it's not normally like me, but I have found it nice when it's loud. Just odd.
Now that it is late at night, I am listening to some other stranger music too. Firstly was an album of Australian Digereedoo music, and now it's albums by Underworld and Bt.
This work I am doing will probably keep me up most of the night.
Just remembering, two things that happened on the way home today that I didn't mention previously. Greeting people in their own language always surprises them. Waiting for the 136 bus at Willingdon and Hastings, a russian guy asked me the time, as he was getting the 137. My bus came before his, and I said goodbye to him in Russian, "Da Svidanya". Then on the bus, were a deaf couple, their son and his gf. All of them were deaf, and the two of the younger generation looked 15/16, and they looked like they belonged to the raveresque type people. As they got off the bus (a few stops before me), I signed "good night" to them. There was a look of surprise from the gf that I signed them, as it had appeared that the younger two had been discussing something that they didn't want the parents to know about, given that they stopped whenever the parents turned around.
I had a cup of coffee since I was hungry, and it's sated my hunger for now, but now I really need to get on with doing my HTTC and NMI assignments, but I want to sleep!
I listened to more of the LoTR soundtrack coming home, after I picked up a 6gb drive from Dave Hartnell. The drive is destined for my server this weekend, if it works. The LoTR is really really nice. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. In this next bit I listened to, there are some nice strings and brass to complement the woodwinds.
I'm going to change into some warmer clothing, and then carry on fixing my mother's computer. Odd, but I am hungry now as well.
Hmm, I haven't posted in a while now. I have been really busy this week as it's an exam week. This morning I was dressed up decently in business casual to do a presentation for BGE, which went quite well. Then had teriyaki chicken for lunch, and tried to work on HTTC some. I got the basic HTML template working, and tested it with Jack's timeline animation. Now we just need all of the years to fill in the content, and our essays that we need to write, then we are done with it.
I still haven't made much of a start on my art project, but that only due 10am on Thursday, so I think I can still manage it. But I need to learn more Perl in a hurry to write the server side of the artwork.
Of the Lord of the Rings OST MP3s that I got from Jon, some of them have nasty clicks and scratches in them, so I will have to see if I can get a better copy. I want a better copy, because I burnt the audio to an Audio CD last night to listen to today, and 'borrowed' my brothers discman to listen to it while I was travelling to school. I am _very_ impressed with it. I might even go out and buy the CD, because the music is just so beautiful. The woodwinds are amazing. And Enya is quite audible in a few tracks.
I just checked on a port for the new games server, and email the info to a sysadmin, now I just need to wait an hour before I can get out of here, as I need to follow him home to get the hard drive I am buying off him.
I'm going to work on the SGI Onyx to set up a RAID0, as I want a huge space to store MP3!

Thought above feeling and mind over matter are your mottos. Others come to you for advice and guidance. Some see you as introverted and snobbish, but they are merely jealous of your common sense knack to think things through. Don't be afraid to listen to your heart though.
Hmm, all of saturday went by, and I have been so busy, that I barely even noticed. #-{. Anyway, I woke up around 1pm. I had a team meeting for my BGE, regarding the breakdown of the work, then had soup for lunch. Spent the afternoon making a start on my part of the business assignment, and learning XML with Perl, for my art assignment. Went out and had Mexican food for dinner. It was quite nice. I had enchilas rojas and then a Flan Kahlua. Back home, continue working. I have got some new trance music from Jon, as well as the Lord Of the Rings OST. It is quite good! I forsee myself burning a few CD audio copies of it soon for various people.
I am working more on the business assignment now.
I am presently working on my process elements essay, just polishing it up now. This song I am listening to is a really good instrumental piece, I should consider burning the entire sound track to audio cd to listen to.
This weekend I also need to work on my major business assignment, creating a business plan. Plus I need to start on my HTTC timeline and my art project. I will be using Flash with XMLSockets for the art project, which should be quite interesting.
My new server will come into existance very shortly, I have located a 6gb drive, and a 4gb drive, both of which just need to be tested and purchased from their previous owners.
