I walk out of my computer room. Hmm Why is that computer so quiet? *looks behind it*. The fan failed on the power supply, and the system was running really hot. I shut it down, started to take it apart, stopped for dinner (Roast Chicken), opened up the power supply. Hurmph. 'Hazardous' and 'No user serviceable components inside'. Whatever. I'm a user, and I can fix these things. Loads of dust in there. Vacumn them up, and the vacumn cleaner starts to choke *ghhhg*. Re-greased the fan, put it back together properly, put it in to test it. And then it shocks me. AFTER I have dealt with the high-voltage components. Bah!

Gotta love that jolt, eh?

I have had that done to me before when I was mucking around with an old AT PSU a few years ago. Touched a wrong spot and then a nice little jolt climbed up my arm and jerked it back while at the same time burning the tips of my fingers.

Whee, super-fun!

I'm just glad your fingers are all right, dear.
You need fingers for things.

This is still an AT PSU as well.
Most of the computers in my house are still on AT.
Only 2 of them are ATX.
