From an email, I realized that I have a fair history of computer gear that I have had over the years. I finally went and finished putting dates on my gallery of computer hardware, and have a fun partial timeline below.

I didn't have a digital camera before this point, so these are the earliest images.

That is indeed xeyes. Using a Win32 X server, as my linux box was primarily a server, with an exceedingly junky 1Mb graphics card.

Webserver/router (left), along with machine that was being worked on for TechBC Teknights (it was sloth.games.techbc.ca after that).

The desk seen previously has moved into my bedroom, and the entire wall area is now a workspace.

After returning from LinuxTag 2005, I cleaned up the mess!

Going vertical now, due to lack of space.

This is my home office. I do need to clean off the left side of the desk, so that Marissa can sit there, but there is also a lot of stuff that I need to finish off and sell, including the Sun FibreChannel gear, and 3 ATX machines.

My dearest, a while back I wrote a post where I listed chronilogically the relationships I have had with, ya, know PEOPLE, HUMANOIDS, ugly bags of mostly water, if you will.

You have just done same with COMPUTERS, ya know, hunks 'o sillicon. With pictures!

Do you keep a framed photograph of your first love, an atari 86, on your desk?

When's your relationship meme going to be posted, mmmm?

I get all teary-eyed thinking about my first computer - an illegal ZX Spectrum clone called CoBRA, illegally assembled by students from stolen (and often mismatched) parts, in communist Romania. Now that's a computer! It played robotron and zorro!

Another cool computer I had was a german clone of a Amstrad somethingorother called Schneider CPC. That one had 8 bits of color! And a swank dot matrix! And a floppy drive!

Apologies for not responding sooner, the email notification for this comment never turned up.

Err, what do you mean by move over my way? The founder of IsoHunt is a Vancouverite, and I ended up connected to him doing some MySQL consulting for one of the others, and only after that he found that I was in Vancouver :-).
