Do you remember what colour the icon was? The original was in blue, and I found that. I photoshopped it into a green variant that I use, and a friend asked for a red variant which I then did.
My longest relationships are long distance. I wonder why I haven't found anyone in my local area. Used to think it was because I'm too nerdy. But I guess that isn't it.
Bah, I just checked out your live journal and you're not even THAT nerdy... There were all kinds of socially adept commentary and even social engagements (real live ones!) that you attended recently.
;)
You must be a crossover nerd, like me. In contact and participating in both words, but fully immersed in neither. It's an interesting existance.
I'm a comic book artist who works security. I rarely mention the comic book part because I'm still getting back to drawing again.
Most of the places I go to, I'm alone. I have never liked spectator sports. And I've been fans of the simpsons and the farside cartoons - geek humour - for as long as they've been around. I do interact with people, but usually after they've talked to me, first. :) And computers have been a big part of my life for around a dozen years.
I've never heard the description, "crossover nerd" before. At present that sounds like an apt description, but I can't say that would describe my entire so-called adult life.
As a side note: your icon is a little distracting. :) "Oooo.. Boob!"
Oh snap! I totally got you chewed out by your wife-to-be. I'm sorry, man! I meant it as a compliment... my hubby is just like you in that awesome nerdorific way.
