Advanced Notice

I'm going to be away from December 14th until January 5th on vacation in South Africa. I have two family weddings to attend and a few other things to do. I'll be flying in with my little brother via Hong Kong. My parents leave the weekend (going via London) before I do, but everybody is returning on the 5th (different routes again tho).
The week before I leave, I'll be mildly busy with final exams.
I plan on delivering Christmas gifts to people I know inside of the next week mainly. If you have anything for me, please send it my way if you don't mind me opening it before I leave. If you don't want me to open it then, hang onto it until I get back from my trip.
Likewise, if you want me to bring something back for you, tell me about it now!
While I am away, there will be a deviation from normal policy, and all the computers in my household will be shut down, with the exception of my server. This is mainly for power saving reasons, but also because I don't trust my Athlon workstation to not cause a fire while nobody is around.
I may use either my main ICQ (#30269588) or my remote ICQ (#41961639) while I'm away. I'll be sharing a laptop with my father, and not taking my own laptop with me. I'll probably check email once a week or so, depending on the availability of internet access wherever I am. The only net access in south africa is dialup or really expensive wireless. A large majority of my relatives and 50% of my grandparents have dialup internet, so that's where I'll be connecting from mainly.
