I had a good day today ^_^. Went out around noon to Burnaby North, I was going there just to check up on the Linux proxy server, but I ended up talking about the homework system I wrote into the webpage originally, as well as fixing Mr. Brunsch's printer (got paid $20 for it :-).
After that, I headed up to SFU to meet Marissa, by her acting class. Went and had lunch in the west mall complex, on the way to her dorm. In the kitchen there, I soldered up her watch, so she doesn't keep losing it. I also put some more RAM that I had lying around into her computer, taking it up to 256Mb. I tried to get her webcam to work, but it seems that the CD that comes with the webcam does not contain any drivers! It's a Kodak DVC-325, so I will have to look for those drivers sometime. I plugging my Zip drive to copy her backup data, and then realized that I had forgotten the Zip disks! Doh! I will take them up on Sunday when I am going to go ice skating at 8-Rinks with her.
We went out for dinner, catching the 135 bus downtown, then the 15 Cambie, and walking a few blocks to the Banana Leaf resturant. It serves great Malaysian cuisine, at very reasonable prices. How reasonable you ask? Eight satays, two main courses, rice, three guava juices, and two desserts, including tip and taxes for $54. The food was really good there.
Grabbed the #99 B-Line to Broadway, then SkyTrain to MetroTown, and #144 to home.
