Hmm, i get to work and they have put some new hardware in for my assigned system.
15" monitor with audio features (headphone out, builtin speakers and mic in).
This nice now because I only had a 14" monitor before, and i was using an audio extension cable to plug my headphones in. I'll post a complete list of the system specs a bit later on today.

I need to go and calibrate the projector displays now, in preperation for the demo i have to do at noon.
I don't even know who the guest is this time, so i'll have to see.

I'm done demoing my supercomputer for today now.
In case you are interested in it:
SGI Onyx3200
http://www.sgi.com/onyx3000/3200.html

Our configuration has 4 CPU's, 4GB of RAM and 18GB of hard disk. The display side has dual 19" monitors for the operator, as well as dual 10'x10' projector setup, to create a 200sq.ft. display area.

I work for 10 hours a week, and get CDN$13.50/hour 8->.

I said i'd tell you about the system i have assigned to me:

450 Mhz Pentium3
128Mb RAM
Internal IDE Zip 100MB drive
Quantum Fireball 9.1Gb hdd
Matrox Millennium G400
48x CDROM

it's not a bad system, it gets the job done quite nicely.

Did anybody read the article about TechBC in today's Vancouver Sun? I hope to hell the funding is not going to get cut, as I'm still a first year student there now!

Stupid liberals, they just want to get back at the NDP!
