My deepest sympathies my friend. I know that kind of weird abuse too well. Sometimes it makes it all too tempting to just say 'f*ck it' and move on to something else. However, a week later I find myself browsing thru a subversion repo and then the next thing I know. I'm back at it.
People are always going to use message systems to send flaming crap to one another. It's sad, but it does seem to be human nature.
