Ok, I know I listen to unusual music some of the time now, but recently I've really found something that I enjoy.
techno/dance remixes of 70's, 80's and early 90's music.

One example I'm listening to now, and really enjoying:
Is AquaGen's remix of "Hard to Say I'm Sorry", originally by Chicago.

Here are the lyrics for the new edition and the original (they are the same):

Funny, how this music really sounds great to me.
I would theorize that it is because I grew up with my father playing this type of stuff, and I've grown to enjoy techno/dance/trance music myself for listening to while I work. I actually think it is a great idea to do music like this. It's a wonderful fusion. The techno people are lacking lyrics and harmony of their own, which they can get from other music, and they contribute their funk and style to the music in return.

I've only got a few other bits like this song at the moment, but I think it definetly an avenue worth exploring.

From what I can see, it has taken off a lot larger in continental europe than anywhere else. Possibly this is due to the impact of 80's music there, and the growth of Techno/Trance/Rave at events like the German Love Parade.

On the subject of Love Parade, if anybody has albums/mp3s from Love Parade, could you please contact me so I can grab some of them?
