I am still impressed with this song. I have had it for a few years now, and it is still a very nice song. It's a bit of piano and nice sound mixed with a little bit of decent rap (I don't think most rap is any good), plus some acoustic vocals.

After spending time doing Ethernet wiring, I have now got my new desk in place in the spare bedroom, with my computer all set up. You can check it on a webcam during the daylight hours. I have set up Marissa's webcam aimed at my desk presently. Check it out on my webpage.

Ok, so I set my alarm for 11.45am, after going to bed at 3.40am, but I wake up, of my own accord around 9.40am! Go figure. But I'm not tired, so it's alright. I have my morning coffee, and make a start on the Java assignment that is due next weekend. It's been so long that some of my Java skills are a bit rusty. I still can't remember how to do a reference variable as in C++.

So after a quick shower and lunch I headed out to see Marissa. I backed up her data to my Zip drive, since I remember the disks this time, then tried to get her webcam working. It's a really nice Kodak DVC-325. I couldn't get it going, so I have brought it home to try it myself now. It takes really good quality pictures.

Anyway so I was testing the webcam, and I try it on my page, and I catch some interesting sights. Somebody was showing off in an interesting way on the webcam that they have. It was a side of the person that I had never seen before *grin*. You should actually try and control the audience that is watching you ;-).

I have no ideas as to what I should write for this business assignment. From the TechBC CMS:

Part B: Individual Assignment

This description of your business model will be part of the individual assignment.

Come up with your own unique model for the idea your team chose last week, or for a new business idea.

Describe:

  1. the business opportunity

  2. the market and the customer needs that you will address.

An individual assignment must be independently completed by each learner. You will be marked on your own work.

This assignment should be a maximum of four pages, double-spaced in a clear 10 point font.

I am a hip critter. I showed up fasionably late with Super Mario World and have started launching your own career since then. In maybe 10-15 years, my popularity will rival Mario's. Not that I'm competing with him. He's my bud. I'm good at getting and keeping friends, and they value me for that. After all, who else would carry them on their back through ice, fire, and rain? Sometimes I think I'm taken for granted, but I know that my friends have my back. Of course they do. Who would screw over Yoshi?

What Super Mario Bros character are you?

You are Kimahri! Always faithful, and a little quiet, you're a true and noble friend. You'll stick up for them and always put them above yourself. People wouldn't want to be your enemy. You're often judged by your appearance.
Which Final Fantasy X Character would YOU be? Take the test.

Damn, it's cold in this basement!

Besides doing my business assignment, I need to clean up stuff to move desks around, so that I have a desk place for my new computer.

I had a really insane messed up dream last night. It was a messed up superhero type thing with elements of Blade in there.

I'm bounding along the tops of buildings, making incredible jumps like in at the start of Matrix, chasing a vampire. I catch her on the top of a building that looks similar to the Seattle Space Needle, and I snarl at her. There is a dialogue about it being pointless me killing her. I say I will just maim her instead, and I rip off her shirt. She has the head of Vicky (skin tones changed tho) and the body of Marissa. I then proceed to cut off her right nipple with a sharp little knife, as if I were cutting an eye or blemish out of a potato. There is no bleeding tho. Right after I do that, she sprints off again, jumping to the next building in a spin, and tunnelling right through the roof, I can see her through the hole still, and she doubles back along the ground towards me. I'm riding on top of the elevator going down now, chasing her some more.

That's it. I woke up then.

I had a good day today ^_^. Went out around noon to Burnaby North, I was going there just to check up on the Linux proxy server, but I ended up talking about the homework system I wrote into the webpage originally, as well as fixing Mr. Brunsch's printer (got paid $20 for it :-).

After that, I headed up to SFU to meet Marissa, by her acting class. Went and had lunch in the west mall complex, on the way to her dorm. In the kitchen there, I soldered up her watch, so she doesn't keep losing it. I also put some more RAM that I had lying around into her computer, taking it up to 256Mb. I tried to get her webcam to work, but it seems that the CD that comes with the webcam does not contain any drivers! It's a Kodak DVC-325, so I will have to look for those drivers sometime. I plugging my Zip drive to copy her backup data, and then realized that I had forgotten the Zip disks! Doh! I will take them up on Sunday when I am going to go ice skating at 8-Rinks with her.

We went out for dinner, catching the 135 bus downtown, then the 15 Cambie, and walking a few blocks to the Banana Leaf resturant. It serves great Malaysian cuisine, at very reasonable prices. How reasonable you ask? Eight satays, two main courses, rice, three guava juices, and two desserts, including tip and taxes for $54. The food was really good there.

Grabbed the #99 B-Line to Broadway, then SkyTrain to MetroTown, and #144 to home.
